My Computer Keeps Freezing Every 3-4 Days.
This Has Only Being Happening Recently Though.
Before 2007 Ive NEVER Had A Problem With This Computer (Which Ive Had For 5-7 Years).
When It Freezes The Screen Stays Still And You Lose Control Of The Mouse.
I Am Then FORCED To Do An Inproper Shut Down Which In Turn Means Running Another
Disk Check
Some Info About My Computer:
HardDrive Capacity: 17.7GB
Space Left: 2.52GB
Memory: 1024MB

Any Ideas?
Thnx,
Tarun

hmm sounds like hardware issues. I Would say its a virus but you sound like u take care of her. Sounds like ram overheating, maybe the power supply. I would run hardware diagnostics

my better recomendation would be to simply buy a harddrive with more capacity. And back the data up on the old on and transfer it. Your ram is beeing hammered i bet

What did you do around the time the problem started happening? Did you add new hardware? Did you install a new program? Did you apply Windows Updates?

Thnx For Your Quick Responses
But I Dont Think I Installed Anything New Or Really Did Anything To Change The Computer

Anyway...
Should Be Buying A New PC Soon But Just Forked Out 2.5k On A Sony Bravia HD TV So...
It'll Have To Wait
I Think Ill Just Buy A New HardDisk For Now

Thnx Guys,
Tarun

And A Virus Is Out Of The Question
I Run A Full Sys Scan Every Week
I Check Rune LiveUpdate Every Day
Having Latest Anti-Virus And Firewall Software Is Vital Too Me

Ive Never Even Found A Virus On My Computer

did you install latest Internet Explorer? I had the same problem with consistent freezing and then an eventual crash of the entire CPU after updating to v. 7.0
