I just installed Windows XP and I have Outlook Express. Can anyone answer these questions: Is my e-mail address the same as the one my internet provider gave me to use on my provider's e-mail server? How do I set margins on my e-mail screen? Do I neeed a password to check my e-mail in Outlook Express? Is there anti-spam protection? Is there a "block sender" link if I get an e-mail from someone I don't want to hear from any more? If I am on a public library computer what do I type in the URL box to get my Outlook Express on the library's computer? Thank you very much.

You have to use the address your ISP gave you.But some of them will give you more than one if you want.To set margin you have to use HTML format. You have to add an account in OE and you need a password. Antispam protection in OE poor. You can exclude known addresses only which is stupid spam is coming from unknown.Type website address of your webmail provider if you have an e-mail address independent of your ISP.

Your email address is independent of what software you use.
Margins have no meaning.
OE has no spam protection built in, there are programs you can install that will
work with OE, but none will stop spam.
yes you need to send you password, but you can have OE remember it.
You can block senders with OE.
But using a public computer changes most of the above since you will not be able
to use OE at the library to access your email, and you really wouldn't want to.
