cracked my xp cd (spack1) and purchased xp service pack2 cd, Now i'm trying to install the new cd and its giving me a exception error (trap00000006), so now i cant install the operating system. Could someone help me?

Need more info. Was your original CRACKED CD an OEM? What did you purchase a CD with 
just SP2 or a XP installation CD with SP2? At what point do you get that exception 
error?

marc lacroix wrote: trap00000006 Which probably means that a file called NTLDR is damaged. If you get this error when you boot from your HD, boot from your CD and do a repair install. If you get this error when you boot from your new CD, bring it back to where you bought it and get a new disk.
