Trying to show my computer on my TV with S-Video

Hi, I have done this before, but cannot seem to figure it out now that I need it. What I wanted to do was output my computer screen to my TV using my video card's (Radeon X700) S-Video Out port. What I have rigged up right now is a S-Video to RCA cord and then an RCA extension into my VCR. I have got my computer screen up on my TV, but it is flashing and is black and white, and looks like it is being refreshed to quickly or slowly. I am not really sure what settings I need to mess around with, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks PS. I am using a Radeon X700, with Windows XP.

You might want to try locating a more appropriate forum for input on this.

Your connection(s) are not correct or cable is bad. Locate a hardware forum or buy
the correct cable. It may not work anyway as SVHS and VHS formats are different
and not all adaptor cables work with all equipment IME.

It sounds like your VCR's built-in Macrovision protection is kicking in. Connect
directly to the TV, instead of through the VCR.
