hello and good day, yesterday i was trying to change my system icons w/o installing 3rd party programs, i read many threads and blogs about it but w/ no success.. theres this blog saying changing it through ControlPanel>Tools>FolderOptions>FileTypesTab> and instructed me to change the icon of my drives... well ok that didnt worked too... so i gave up it was 4am already... when i going to check for disk space i was startled when i doubleclick my drive c: it didn't open what it did was opened a search window, i tried my drive d: and cdrom drive but it was the same too, good thing was when i right clicked the said icons and open, it did. omg i tried it my other pc and it was the same... i guess the file types tab has bug in it... could someone please help me i know it was my fault in the first place but i have already searched for answers for 6 hours now. this is the only place i could asked for sure answers thanks in advance (sorry for my bad english im not that fluent)

Open Regedit and fix it. and to change the sys.icons on desktop use Regedit. ========================== Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell] @="none" "info"="In Default just type: none" ============================
