I have found a program (Maxformat) from Alkonost that enables you to format all presently available floppy disk formats plus the DMF type. I've used it to make diskettes with the DMF format to be able to copy .cab files. It worked great for me; cost $16.00. To check it out: http://www.alkonost.com. Ed

And for that matter who cares?
There are free ones available, $16 sounds like a lot to pay to get a few extra kb
on a floppy disk.

For less than $16 you could buy a 256MB (or larger) flash drive and forget about floppy disks forever :-)
