Question about 'Get Rid of the Logon Screen' - temporary multi user!

I have a question about Get
Rid of the Logon Screen:
the article all makes sense, but my problem is slightly different. this is my parents
computer, so most of the time everyone just uses the one family account, however,
i do have my own account that i use occasionally when home from uni.
if i get rid of the logon screen to make it easier for parents, a) will my account
remain intact and b) will i be able to access it by switching users/loging out on
the rare occasion i need my own acc.
thanks in advance!
paddy

Reality Check: Is it really that hard for them to click on a user name to log on
from the Welcome Screen?

haha - well, no, it's not that difficult, my mum isn't exactly enamored with computers
tho, so i try to set up everything to work with as little input from her as possible!
{She will turn computer on then come back to it later as she hates waiting for it
so start up (even tho have a fairly fast computer!)}
anyway, it's a simple enough question! i'm not going to lose sleep over it if someone
just replies "no"
