Help reinstalling McAfee VirusScan with no cd drive

I am having problems with my cd/dvd drive and as I don't use it much, it's really
not bugging me too much but I need to reinstall my virusScan software, which is on
a cd. I have looked all over on McAfee's website for a simple email address to contact
them but I'm having no luck. I have the package with the serial # and everything
on it so I'm not just trying to get a free version of something, I just want to be
able to install the software. Any suggestions?

You can probably download the software from the web site.

I thought I could to but the version I have is VirusScan 7, which I'm told on the
website, isn't really out there anymore and I should upgrade to something else.

Why don't you download and try the Free Version of AVG. Lots of people here seem
to like it. If you need a separate Firewall also, then some some good free ones around
too.

You might also try to copy the CD to a thumb drive using a friends computer and install
from that.

I just did that last night! I copied the mcafee cd to my flash drive and I'll try
that. Thanks for the idea and all the help!
