When printing emails the printer reverts to landscape even after setting the preferences

Did you set it from the email's print dialog box?

Ian, try it Ricer46's way. Click on File / Print (instead of clicking on the Print
icon). That should give you the standard print dialog, set it to Portrait there,
see if that works.

Rich, thanks but I have tried that and all other ways of printing and the printer
reverts to landscape every time, even after clicking on "apply" to save the settings.
I must stress that this is only a problem when printing emails from outlook express.
The printer is a Lexmark. Do you think that it could be a problem with the printer
or a problem with the emails that are sent?
