internet problems

My windows xp dell connects to the internet wirelessly through the router in the other room. In the bottom right of the screen, it informs me that it has a full signal and is connected to the internet, but when I open up my browser, it won't load the pages. Sometimes it works when I refresh a few times or go to internet options and mess around and try again. Some days there are streaks where nothing will fix it. I know the problem isn't the router because both my palm pilot and my laptop are able to use the internet using the wireless. Anybody have any ideas?

You could try changing the channel your wireless card is using. Recent Dell PCs do have problems in that respect (I've got 2 of them !!) Experiment a little, but write down the current settings before you start !

Try the WinSock Repair fix. Often resolves problems like this.

I had a similar problem and solved it using the cmd line as follows start - run - cmd then ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew . Maybe it will work for you.
