Can we do the same in all file dialogues?

What is irritating is that many of my programs display the standard windows file-open dialogue in other than "details" view. Since I select files mainly by name (alphabetical order) or by how recent (date order), I have to switch to details view and then set the desired sorting order. Is there a way to have all open file dialogues to start with the details view?

You can replace all except MS Office open/save dialogs with FileEx. Not free, but has a 30 day trial and worth every penny in my book.
