checking number of RAM boards inside PC

Does anyone know of a utility that will let me know how many RAM boards there are
inside a machine.
EG: I have a total of 1GB of RAM inside machine 'A' that is made up of two 512MB
boards but I need to know there's two boards instead of one 1GB board without opening
the back up.
(reason for this is I have many machines to go through to upgrade RAM and don't want
to have to take the back off each time)

Hi Ian
Not a WXP issue - proprietary softwares show this information - e.g.
Belarc Advisor lists memory modules by slot -

Are all PCs the Same?/Brand?/ or from same place orginally?
