UK and not US?

Strange internet behavior: Firefox 2.0.0.7, Windows XP SP2 with all the updates. When I click a YouTube link on my work computer (same setup as home) I go to (for example) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1Lu0HdWDSY. Do the same at home, I go to http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X1Lu0HdWDSY. Why the UK site? The same thing happens when I try to buy something on-line - I get UK sites. Is this s DNS settings problem? I tried clicking the 'obtain DNS server settings automatically' button on the TCP/IP properties settings, but it had no effect.

The sites may be picking up on the IP addresses of the different ISPs ?
