Powering on

My computer won't start up unless I unplug the printer's power cord and then plug it in after the computer is up and running. This happens every time I power off and try to power on again. Aside from that, the comptuer recognizes the printer, and it works fine. This is a new printer which I installed using the mfg's CD. Thanks for the help.

Uninstall the printer in Add/Remove programs. Disconnect the USB cable. Shutdown and reboot. Reinstall again and see if it works any better. If not contact the manufacturer.
