Task Manager menu bar disappeared

When I open Task Manager, the menu bar has disappeared and the window/toolbar button
on the Start menu bar is blank with just the icon showing. What have I done?

It's a strange, common XP annoyance. Just double click the top of the window, as
you would to maximize an open window.

You're welcome. I'd be none the wiser myself, if it hadn't come up so many times.
I hear about some of these little quirks from other regulars on this forum.
