I have CD Rom in my system but not showing in My Computer.

I have a question about Turn Off the CD-ROM Autorun:

As I am Ziaulla. I bought a system with XP Operating System. And the CD Rom is connected to it. Its working and its not in My Computer if I insert any CD drive I cant see the it & I explored My Computer also means. I cant see there also. Plz reply me. Even I need to install lots of programmes and softwares from the CDs. I will be theankful for reply.

Does the drive show up during the POST?
How do you know it is working in this system?
Run drvmgmt.msc
What do you see there?

1:On the Windows Start menu, click Run. 2: In the Open box, type Regedit and click OK. 3: Select the following key in the Windows registry: 4: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 5: On the Edit menu, click Delete: Value Name: LowerFilters Value Name: UpperFilters 6: On the Registry menu, click Exit. 7: Reboot your computer.
