I have a question about Stop Windows from saving the thumbnail cache (THUMBS.DB):

Besides having problems with the thumbs.db file, does anyone here ever caught the file with the same problem, but this time its "autorun.inf"? This file also generated automatically whenever user attached the flash drive into the network system through the Windows platform. At my place, this has been the virus-like problem where it interrupt the daily systems and processes, where there are such application doesn't recognize the file and threats it like a virus. If somebody got the same problem, please share it together with the reader. Thanks.

Hello. I am a worker of Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science. Down there we have got same problems as you. And yes, it is a virus. Fortunately, Sophos Anti-Virus takes care about it without problems. The only problems is that you must scan all the flash drives you were using and all the computers on which you used those flashes. In our example it was some twenty computers, but we did it ;). Greets, Radoslaw "kficzol" Zydok Warsaw, Poland
