when my computer boots i get a black screen with a message saying "System Halted"
i think that's a HD problem but i'm sure its not, because i had tried the same hard
drive in other computer and it works fine. i had tried re-installing windows but
after it finishes copying the files it restarts and the same screens shows up.

Maybe the Hard Drive is OK. That message can mean the CPU is overheated.
You may wish to direct your question to a forum that will talk about all the things
that can go wrong with a computer. Here is is mostly just about the Windows stuff,
not the hardware problems.
