Sound Problem

Greetings,

I've recently been getting the following error:

There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control
Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware. This program
will now close.

It just started. The only way I can get my sound back is to restart.

Now sometimes post start up I get a bad lag, CPU resources taken up by srvchost.exe
in the 75-95% range. So I stop it. I'm not sure if it's related or not, but it might
be.

Thanks you for your help

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Check out response #2 on this link:
Possible fix

If that doesn't work just 'google ' "There are no active mixer devices available"
and take your pick.

Regards,

Phil
