Making a demonstration work in Internet Explorer

Hello, I am trying to run a link from an email to a demo of some changes to online banking that my bank (HBOS in the UK) are introducing. However, once I get so far, and click some of the links, I get a VeriSim Test Drive message that says I either have a popup blocker enabled or that Javescript is not enabled. I have tried changing all these settings and still no luck. Is there a definitive list of the security, script and other advanced settings that I must make in order to let demos such as this work? The link to the actual site in question is http://www.onlinebankingdemo.co.uk/onlinechanges/launchhalifax.html# Glad for anyone's help. Cheers.

If you're using Internet Explorer, just go into Tools/Internet Options/Security,
set the security level for "trusted sites" to "Low," and then add onlinebanking.co.uk
to the list of trusted sites.

Ari, this solution worked fine on my pcs (one XP and one Vista) but my for my elderly dad, 250 miles away, it did not work. Could this be because he has not got Java installed, for example? Thanks, Phil

Not having java installed is certainly a possibility.

All that this does is PERMIT the website to utilize the various "dangerous" facilities
offered by the browser (scripting, java, activex, etc.) assuming you have the facilities
installed in the first place. If your dad has not installed whatever's needed to
run the craplets on the website, then of course they won't run no matter how he sets
his security.
