How to eliminate and/or stop read-only files, especially during copying of files

All files Burned to CD or DVD Media are Read only. Just the way it is.

All files on CD and DVD are read-only by definition since
these are read-only media. (The only exceptions are
R-W discs, but no-one in their right mind risks using these.)

To change the Attributes of files :
Right click on the file, Left click on PROPERTIES.
Under the GENERAL tab : undo the Read only Check.
Left click APPLY and left click OK.
You may then copy, cut, delete move or rename the file.

That's not possible on a CD.

This DOS Xcopy command will copy read only files and change them into archive
files which will be can then be copied, cut, moved, renamed etc…
If your CD drive is D: then the following command should work:
Xcopy/S/Y/R D:\*.* C:\Archive\*.*
