Windows Internet Explorer size & position

Windows Internet Explorer (7.0) still doesn't always remember it's window size and
position from last time after logging on. I reported this before (http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1190570126)
but the suggestions didn't help. I also did a search on this site but got the same
suggestions. I'm running XP sp2 with latest updates.

As you have found, this is a constant annoyance, and there are no complete cures
- it is simply something that XP does badly.
To fix it with certainty you need a 3rd party desktop manager: but most people I
know who have tried find them more trouble than they are worth and revert to living
with the size/position annoyance.

Firefox w/same issue
Friend w/HP a520n has the same problem w/firefox. IE7 remembers all the time, but
his will not keep Firefox at full screen w/o hitting Max button.

I believe it's an XP issue, and has nothing to do with the individual applications.
But why, is another matter. I've never seen this problem in six years of using XP
on about 20 computers. For me all apps have opened in the size and position that
I last closed them.

IE maximizer is a good tool which will always maximize the internet explorer window
