Icons Flickering affecting windows explorer and IE not function

Icons Flickering.
I have a problem with a virus that icons flicker when I click on them or deskto and
do not let open well windows explorer and when I am connected to internet with IE
it stop to function.
I flashed the bios with the latest software and format the drive and install win
me then the win XP upgrade and nothing more and the problem continues when i click
on the desktop or an icon. I have tried several antivirus like norton, avg and spyware
like ad-aware and spybot. Please help me I can't use the computer!!!

Flashing the BIOS was a pointless risk. There's no reason to do all of the steps
you did to install. Upgrading over ME is a serious problem. Start over and do a clean
install. There is no need to upgrade from ME, and the installation process allows
the option of repartitioning and formatting the drive.
