Hi all
A few days ago when i turned on my laptop , my windows XP came up successfully but
the welcome sound didn't played , also the shutdown sound when i shutted down my
winxp and the rest of sounds too But my Media player plays successfully so my sound
card is ok, After that when i checked my control panel , i noticed that i don't have
any SOUND SCHEME
selected , i tried to select [Windows Default] scheme but nothings happened,i checked
my [Media] folder in windows directory and i saw all Sound files intact and ok .!!!
So how can i create a new and another Sound Scheme file again and introduce it to
windows?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

When the default is selected you should be able to preview any of the windows sounds
in the lower part of the "Sounds and Audio Devices properties" box. If not, then
either the file has been damaged or your sound system has gone bad. But in your case
the WMP works, so it must be the sound scheme was lost.
Try going over to another user account, or create a new user account. The new user
may receive a good copy of the Sound Scheme file.
