6 mo old hp laptop had 80 gbs at first then they reformatted , now has less than
35 gbs left and no new programs where added ??

did they delete the old partition and create new ones?

They could have just installed a second copy of XP, so all the old stuff is still
on the Drive. Also if they did format, and Formated in Fat 32, then that could cause
missing space because of the way Fat 32 is limited in XP

right click my computer. select manage. in the left window select disk management.
how many drives and partitions in the right window pane?

not deleting the existing partition was my first guess. probably wouldn't know how
to format in fat32?
