Pen Drive Problem

I have a pen drive that wont work on my pc. When I insert it in the usb slot I get an icon on my taskbar and also the noise as though the pc has seen it. My problem is it doesnt appear in "my computer" Can anyone help ? Many thanks in anticipation H

Try: Control Pannel> Administrative Settings> Computer Managment> Disk Management....
Does your Drive show up there? Try assigning another letter.

Right Click your Drive> Change Letter ect....

or maybe be some other issuse close to that effect.

I had a USB key on a pc that i was told People can never get there usb keys to work.
So in i went to admin settings etc (as above) but b4 that i noticed"E:\" was some 
kind of network connection for that pc. but in disk managemnt my USB key also showed 
up as 
"E:\"...But assigining new letter fixed that. USB Key showed up right away.
