Can't find desktop icon

I was looking for desktop icon to change DPI, but it is missing, the only desktop
icon I find is Google Desktop. I tried to find it under All Programs without luck.
I went under My Documents and found it, but could not get into Properties. Any
suggestions???

You meant to say "Can't find where to change DPI settings."
Be catefull about changing the DPI. The default settings are often best.

Have you tried right clicking on an open area of the desktop and selecting Properties,
then click on the Settings tab?

Desktop is not on the control panel, I have tried the windows screen, control panel,
and all programs. The only way I have found into desktop at all is through my documents,
choose desktop and there I can't get into properties.

In Control Panel, the one you want is called Display (not desktop). You should be
able to access the very same thing just by right-clicking any "open" area of your
desktop and choosing Properties at the bottom of the drop-down menu that is displayed.
In an Explorer window, you will find an icon for Desktop at the top of the list in
the left-hand pane. Right click on that icon and choose Properties. That is a total
of three ways to get to the same thing! Hope this helps. Cheers. Spexx.
