OK I give in. How do you stop Explorer putting a shadow under the cursor when you select it with a mouse. I have tried going to folder options and performance options but to no avail.

What program/application are you using? What exactly do you mean by "cursor"? Cheers. Spexx.

I don't quite understand "putting a shadow under the cursor when you select it with a mouse". 1. Windows Explorer (I guess) or Internet Explorer ? 2. I don't see how you can select a cursor, with or without a mouse ? 3. What exactly has a shadow, and what does it look like ? 4. Did you possibly mean the a filename is highlighted ?

When you put the mouse pointer over an icon label on the desktop it changes colour and highlights the icon. I want it to stop doing this and have done it before but cant find how I did it.

I can't find anything about it on my PC and it is not an option in TweakUI either. Do you have some special bit of software that does it? Cheers. Spexx.
