Question about 'Clear Unwanted Entries from the Start Menu's Run Command'

I have a question about clearing unwanted entries from the Start Menu's run command.
I followed the instructions in Article 05-011, but after running the Registry Editor,
and following the path which eventually took me to \RunMRU\, there was nothing to
delete, other than the Default (whcih is not to be deleted). In other words, there
were no values in the right pane to delete. Yet, I still have the unwanted entries.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Did you remove them in two places? Some registry entries are duplicated, remove one
and it does nothing. There are shareware programs that will do this for you without
going into the registry.

Right click a blank area of your taskbar, select Properties and then the Start Menu
tab. Click Customise and in the next window "Clear". This will remove other things
as well, so double check you're happy for them to be gone as well.

Oh, yeah... that's where it is. I knew there was some way to do that easily. I just
never bother with it since, I find the list to be very useful.

Ha Ha
The only time I misspell in those boxes is when I can't fix the list because
a control freak IT staff won't give you the privileges, then I misspell them about
half the time.

... thank you Helen. I took your advice and it partially worked. I also needed
to clear the registry as per Article 05-011. Together, they solved my problem and
thank you for your help.
