Hello, I am currently experiencing a system hang, gets up to mup.sys on safe mode. I have managed to install another hard drive, and keep the files on the old hard drive. Is there any way to scan the hard drive with faulty windows and eventually find whats wrong and restore it as the main drive?

If you haven't already tried the suggestions in this reference:

Then it maybe best to make your second drive as Master and install XP on it. You can then rescue your important files of the original disk set up as Slave
