Windows Media Player 11 skips every other song

Hi everyone, my friend's WMP has this strange behaviour: When he loads more than one song, the player only plays every other song: for example, it plays track 1, then jumps to track 3, etc. This happens with every playlist. He picks a folder, then selecs all the songs he wants to play, the player plays song 1, then song 3... If he wants to listen to every song, he has to be there when a song ends, then pick the next one. Random playing is deselected.

General recommendation here is to stop using WMP 11 and switch to pretty much anything
else.

Ha ha...Thank you, Ricer46, I think you're right, actually, I don't even use Windows anymore, but I'm trying to help my friend and he wants to use WMP, because he's used it all the time and he justs wants it to work like it used to until just last week. I'll try to uninstall-reinstall to see what happens...

Hi again! WMP started doing it again. I'm starting to think it's got some kind of malware...
