The only one that I know works, is to re-install XP from scratch. You might try disconnecting the drive, deleting it from the Device Manager, and then hook it back up, might be re-found, but I doubt it. Good Luck. It doesn't disable the Drives but just makes the Drives Icon disappear. Tweakui also has a setting to do it. You might find the Edit, and check that Registry Key. It will have a single drive letter assigned to it and will be shown as one of these or some times CD-ROM or CD-RW. In Device Manager they are both listed as DVD-RW, in Explorer, one shows as a DVD-RAM Drive, the other simply as a CD Drive. They both work completely as DVD-RW.
