Used S video cable...now have resolution problems

I used an S video cable last night to connect my computer to my plasma TV to show pictures. Now my computer is working fine, but the bottom right corner taskbar icons are very tiny, as well as the scroll up and down bar on my mozilla. Any suggestions? I am using Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 9300.

So what happens when you reset your monitor/video adapter to the correct resolution?

It is definitely a problem with the resolution. When I change the resolution to 1280 by 800, the icons and screen in general become less clear and almost blurry. There was an error message that said I set it so I could no lower it below 1920 by 1200, and then it closes after 8 seconds. Did I set this somehow using the S video cable?

The native resolution for the Dell Inspiron laptop is 1440 by 900 I believe, so the
correct resolution which jaf refers to is that, not 1280 by 800. LCD screens often
have lower quality (blurry) images if not used at the native resolution.

Have you unplugged the SVideo lead? Leaving it plugged in can sometimes cause problems
re-setting the resolution.
