can't send e-mails

For the past week or more I can't seem to send any e-mails from this computor. I have a local rural highspeed provider that I use for internet. I use Outlook Express 6 and I had no problem sending e-mails till lately. One thing I know is that I renewed my Norton Antivirus and added the Norton PC checkup. Could this have something to do with it? If so does anyone know what settings I have to change to get things working again? Really appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

Yes, it has a lot to do with it.
Your will need to review the Norton Documentation.

Sorry, I am not a Norton expert. I am now using Avast! Many on this forum says it is best, so I followed their advice.

"I can't send e-mail," tells us absolutely nothing. Try telling us EXACTLY what you are doing and what the error message/result is.

I just finished getting it all fixed up, I hope. The message had been that: The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Norton was not the problem so I called my internet supplier and one of the settings had to be change under Tools/Accounts/properties/servers/Outgoing mail had been changed to smtp.yourlink.ca instead of mail.yourlink.ca Joanne
