missing folder

I wanted to restore a file to a different location than the original. The destination folder was called 1backup and had a lot of my backed up data. The operation was successful but when I opened explorer the folder was gone (including all it's contents /cry). However, when I tried to create a new folder called 1backup I got a message that this folder already exists. Any ideas? I was using Cyberlink Power Backup, and their forum is, well........useless!

Have you turned on hidden and system files ? Have you used Search in Windows Explorer to see where XP thinks it is (use advanced options as above) ?
