Having to plug in a key is one way they keep you from running more than one instance at a time as per their licensing agreement. If you don't want to, and if it doesn't work to run it through a remote desktop (like VNC for example), there isn't much/anything you can do IME. Basically, your post would be considered off topic here since it isn't deemed a problem with the operating system per se.
