Question

Hi' Before I had to reformat I was getting a JScript runtime error - object expected. Anyway I ended up doing a reformat for another reason and this error is still showing up on my PC whenever I enter certain game sites such as King.com or bigfish games or yahoo games. Whats up with that ?

JScript is nothing to do with Sun Java. The problem occurs because lazy programmers
don't do full blown testing of their scripts.

You can probably get IE to ignore the error - check out IE's advanced settings for
script errors

I met something similar inside XP recently - Help and Support's help wouldn't display properly - same error. Eventually I re-installed JScript over itself which fixed it - you can get it here That fixed the issue, so I suppose it was corrupt - I believe that JScript installs with your browser, so if you've updated or change IE that might be the cause. Having said all that I'm inclined to Nigel's view that in your case its a poorly written website.

Question

Hi I did as you suggested and tried to fix this but it got worse the browser just kept crashing - I tried to uninstall and reinstall the browser ( IE ) but it just kept doing that so I gave up and loaded firefox and so far so good. thanks S.
