I have searched Microsoft support and have come up blank. The Dell support site shows the driver R68764.EXE which is the Mobility Radeon 7500 already installed, but not doing the job. I just wonder why the obvious is not working, and why it is so difficult to get a simple hardware installation which is supposed to 'plug and play' working. What am I doing wrong! I did download and through device manager, I tried to update the plug and play driver, searching for the folder into which I extracted the files, and got the message that the wizard could not find a better match for my hardware than the currently installed. The same issues exist. the display is greater than the monitor screen. I have however solved the issue. I noted that when the laptop was undocked, the display was correct. When docked, and using the monitor, it was not. Then I noticed that when docked, the notebook lcd was also lit. Toggling 'fn' 'F8' you toggle between notebook, monitor, or both, and when toggled to only monitor, the display corrected itself. Who knows why it was incorrect when toggled to both, in my mind this should not be, but however... Thanks for your help.
