Question about 'Get Rid of the Logon Screen'

I have a question about Get Rid of the Logon Screen:

After follwing the instructions I am having trouble booting. The system hangs at the first blue screen. I can sometimes get on by turning off the computer and turning it back on. sometimes I must do this several times befoe it boots and give me the message that the system cannot boot because of no logon information. I then select OK and then it boots. What the heck is this?
