I have recently started getting a shaving registry report saying registry needed to close. I have now lost USB connections and device manager doesnt show any listings. Have downloaded SP2 and uninstalled it but still have the problem. Tryed to restore and have used Regifix but to no avail. Any ideas?

Is that supposed to be saving rather than shaving?

Not necessarily -- it's what so-called registry cleaners
do all the time, surely?

I've never seen that one. Wonder what kind of razor is used?

Never seen that message before (and I've seen LOTS of problematic XP systems !) although it might have something to do with Fuji camera installations ? Do you have one installed ? However as a precaution I'd first scan for malware - run these two free scanners and accept any deletions they suggest: Malwarebytes Superantispyware

PS dump Regifix (or Regfix) - these wretched things do nothing but cause problems.
