Heyy...
I have a Windows XP System with Service pack 2 installed that I am having problems
installing Pervasive.SQL 2000i on. On this system when I double click on the 16
bit setup launcher nothing happens. When I try to restart the system I get an end
program error "WOWEXEC is not responding" would you like to end this program now?
After answering Yes, I get a system error "The request to end the selected 16 bit
task has timed out. The Win 16 Subsystem may be unstable. Press OK to terminate the
Win 16 Subsystem or Cancel to leave it running." After restarting when I try the
same thing again, I get the same problem. How can I install this program?
It has been driving me crazy since 2 weeks now and i need it reall urgently now because
i have an exam based in the material in it soming up.....please try and help......

Has it worked previously? This has helped on some 16 bit install issues.

Tried doing a system restore back to when it was working?

Try playing with the compatibility options, might find a mix that lets it run. XP
has never been all that good at running 16 bit apps it seems to get worse about it
with each SP and update.

no it doesnt run at all after clicking on it nothing happens....have tried changing
the compatibility and display modes and everthn... no success at all.... please please
someone help!!
