How to come out of hibernation

I know how to put my computer (winxp) in hibernation and to activate it but I can't find anything that says how to restart it. I push the power button and nothing happens unless I hold it for five seconds and totally shutdown the computer. I can't find this on google or on the help page of winxp.

Hibernation does shut the computer down totally, perhaps you mean standby. It may
be a BIOS issue or a driver problem. What does your PC maker have to say?

That's because it has nothing to do with settings in XP, it's in the BIOS setup.
Also be aware that hibernation does not work well on most machines. I'm thankful
that it does work on mine.
