I have a Dell Dimansion 4600 which infected by a spyware Security Tool a couple of weeks ago. It seems very hard to remove this spyware, i decided to reinstall Win XP ( Home Editon) completely by format the C drive. I did the same operation before without any problem. But this time something is wrong. The installation is never finalized. It always boot to safe mode like screen with low resolution and big font. I tried to change the settings but it is disabled. What is the problem? What I have to do? Any help will be very appreciated. :( http://www.annoyances.org/

Safe Mode has the words displayed in all 4 corners, are you sure that you are in
safe mode, or is it that you need to install all of the mobo, and adapter card drivers?

It looks like in safe mode, I am sure it is not really in safe mode. I don't know what is wrong during the installation. I did it many times before without any problem. What should I do?

Try Installing the Video Card Drivers from the Manufacture.

As I said before, it is NOT Safe Mode, if you don't have the text in the 4 corners
of the screen.
You don't have your display properties set correctly. It is possible that XP installed
some generic drivers that will work, but it's always better to get the ones provided
by the manufacturer of your graphics adapter.
In any case, right click on your Desktop, select Properties, then on the Settings
tab, adjust your resolution and color quality to values that are appropriate for
your system.

Did you install the Dell-OEM flavour of Win-XP, or the standard issue XP?

The standard issue doesn't have all the special Dell drivers. You need to fix that
yourself.
