Laptop wireless- won't connect

I've had this laptop for 7 years; it works fine, and has worked fine with the wireless card for that period of time. Starting a few months ago, I had connection problems- it would just drop the link or whatever. Now it won't connect at all; it can "see" the router, as well as those of my neighbors. I have the right WEP encryption code; it just never connects. My other laptop works fine on the wireless network. I've run through every permutation in the advanced settings I can think of. What else should I try? Thanks!

Any chance Mac address filtering is enabled on the router ?

7 years is a long time for a computer, especially a laptop it may just be going out
on you. Try connecting to another network, a wifi hotspot if you have to and see
if it works there. If it still fails you can try deleting all your wireless connections,
uninstalling the card then letting it reinstall to see if that solves it.
