Many Computers these days have both sata, and IDE controllers. I have seen the no Bios installed message when there are no Drives on one of the Controllers.

A example is Raid controllers have a separate Bios, so if no Raid Drives are present then the Raid bios won't load because the Drives can't be found.

Yes, this has long been the case with SCSI drives, though in my
experience the message always included a reference to the SCSI
controller BIOS.

(It would be interesting to see a working computer with no BIOS
at all -- a sort of digital Indian rope trick.)

I'm betting the No Bios installed is just a reference to the Raid bios of either sata, or IDE controller. I got 3 PCs with Removable Hard Drive Drawers, and all 3 give a similar Message when I have the Drive Drawers Turned off or removed.

Interesting thought, could be. He needs to read his mobo docs.
