Cannot log into administrator in safe mode

I am having a problem with my pc. I know it's infected with malware, and when trying to remove the attacks, i attempted to go into the administrator profile in safe mode. Well, when i type my pw in, it just hangs. Does anyone know a way to fix things? Could it be because the malware was written to be sophisticated enough to block going into administrator to remove such attacks?

Unless you specifically set a password for Administrator in safe mode,
it does not need one. This Administrator is not the same as a named
account you have set up with administrator privileges in normal mode.

Just try pressing 'enter' when asked for a password.

Can't you go into your own account? Have you tried downloading and running Malwarebytes
or Superantispyware? They both work really well as long the malware doesn't stop
them from running.
