If you used disk imaging, now would be the time to restore with your saved image. But, since you don't, you'll have to work harder. Did you try the Last Known Good... option instead of Safe Mode? If so you need to create a universal boot disk (d/l the iso file after a google search, then burn it to a cd on a working computer). Then you can copy data files to a thumb drive. After data is retrieved, you can try repairing through the Repair Console, for which I can give you zero advice, or do a Repair Re-install.
