It is not part of the OS. If you have MSOffice, then make sure that it is properly installed. If you don't, you can download a Powerpoint viewer from Microsoft. In order to view a power point slide show (.pps) you need to have a 'MS Power Point' installed or at least the free version of 'power point viewer'. Appently these are not installed on your new Drive. It's quite compatible with the MSOffice line, although not quite a 100% compatible as most claim.
