I tried using SFC /scannow with XP-SP3 and now my computer attempts to boot but never gets past the windows xp startup screen. I didn't have this problem with XP-SP2, or even Win2k-SP4... I tried a repair re-install but all I get is still the same Windows XP startup screen, any ideas how to fix this without have to reload windows from scratch would be appreciated....

A client of mine just had this problem a couple weeks ago. This is what i did to
fix it.... Slave the drive in another machine and download the drive makers disk
diagnostic utility and run it on the drive. It should find an error or errors and
fix them allowing your drive to boot up properly in the original syste.
