Command Prompt to change event log settings

I have windows xp and was wondering if there is a way through command prompt to change event log settings. If you go into admin tools/ event viewer and right click on properties of the security log I need to change the size of the log to 1024 and make sure it is set to overwrite events if needed. Is this possible to do through command prompt?

I believe you can do such things with PowerShell - which is an enhanced command shell
from Microsoft. Lot of learning curve though.

Then there's always vbscript...
